Our second week of being locked inside and we’re all going crazy, right? If you’re looking for something you can do for others during this time, I’d like to ask for you to join me in making masks for your local hospitals and other healthcare workers.

The Multnomah County Health Department is now accepting homemade masks crafted using the guidelines established by Crafters Against COVID-19 PDX. Here is what they say:

If you are new to this group, PLEASE make sure that you are following our quality guidelines, as much effort was put into getting the green light to make this happen and was dependent upon makers following certain protocol and material guidelines.  It is imperative that the homemade masks you deliver are following our specific guidelines in the Mask Production Phase 2 document. (Phase 1 masks will also be accepted, but going forward, please only make masks following the most current guidelines.)

***In case we need this information later, please keep a tally of how many masks you have made and donated.***

Your delivery must include the following information:

On top exterior of box:

•    Crafters Against COVID-19 *PDX*

•    Name of pattern used (brief description)

•    Quantity of masks and Phase #

•    Time and date the box was sealed (VERY IMPORTANT!)

Once you seal the box it must remain sealed!

On the inside of box:

•    Maker name and contact info

•    Materials used (brief description)
