I teach an almost lost art to young people: I teach kids to sew. But more than that I teach them to have the confidence and self-esteem to do anything that they set their minds to do. I watch as they start a class with fear in their eyes but leave with the spark of confidence that tells them “Yes, I can do this.”
I also teach adults to sew. We have good food, make new friends and learn a lot. I am not sure who learns the most: me or the students (but I think it’s me).
